Client Background
A French winery approached Minghanggroup to develop customized glass wine bottles for its European market launch during the peak season. The winery was in need of consistent quality and capacity planning and wanted to customize its wine bottles so the winery was in need of a reliable wine bottle factory. The brand personalized glass wine bottles in the form of a Bordeau style (750ml), with the use of antique green glass, heavy punted bottom, and a long neck, cork-finished with 30×60. They also wanted an embossed shoulder logo which gave it a better shelf identity. Strong capability of mold development, stable mass-production output and rigid dimensional control of high speed bottling lines are the factors that made Minghang the choice of the client.

Challenge
Shortage of Supplies During The Peak Season
The former supplier of the client was unable to fulfill the demand on harvest and holiday seasons and this resulted in delays in the bottling schedules and export shipment.
Compatibility Issues on Bottling Lines
Inconsistent bottle neck dimensions created occasional corking problems, slowing down production and increasing rejection rates.
Cause Analysis
Minghang’s engineering team reviewed production data and identified the core issues:
- Limited furnace capacity and weak production planning at the previous supplier caused unstable lead times.
- Variations in neck finish and glass thickness led to inconsistent performance on automated bottling equipment.

Solution
Capacity Planning & Stable Scheduling
Minghang reserved dedicated furnace time, built a safety stock plan, and confirmed rolling production schedules to avoid peak-season shortages.
Precision Control for Glass Wine Bottles
We upgraded neck-ring tooling, introduced go/no-go gauges for the cork finish, and strengthened online inspection to ensure every batch of glass wine bottles met tight tolerances.
Manufacturing Process Improvement
The project included:
- Bottle mold evaluation
- Neck finish tolerance control
- Sample approval
- Production inspection
- Export packaging validation
Result
The winery significantly reduced bottling delays and improved production efficiency through more stable bottle quality and supply planning. With reliable supply and consistent quality, the winery successfully expanded exports—confirming Minghang as a long-term wine bottle factory partner.
