An Italian mineral water brand was kind of on the hunt for a trusted glass bottle wholesaler, yknow, to bring high quality glass packaging into the market. They looked at a few manufacturers first, then after a while decided on Minghanggroup. Mostly because of the advanced production capacity , the tight quality control, and its export experience that seemed quite solid.
For the client, the water bottles were customized with a slim cylindrical shape, heavy base design, screw finish, frosted logo printing and silver aluminum caps to make 330ml and 750ml water bottles. Minghanggroup was a partner that provided us with quick samples, quality and competitive pricing with longevity.

High Breakage During Ocean Shipping

Our engineering team carefully evaluated the packaging process and transportation conditions. We identified two main causes:
- The original carton design didn’t really have enough internal cushioning to help absorb a hit while it is being shipped.
- Bottle spacing, and the way pallets were stacked, weren’t tuned up for the long-distance sea freight part, so it ended up with more vibration damage, actually.
Solution
Upgraded Protective Packaging
Minghanggroup redesigned the packaging by adding customized corrugated dividers, thicker cartons, and reinforced corner protection to reduce bottle movement.
Optimized Pallet Configuration
As an experienced glass water bottle wholesaler, we improved pallet stacking patterns, applied stretch wrapping with corner boards, and performed transportation simulation tests before shipment.
Comprehensive Quality Inspection
Every shipment underwent drop tests, compression tests, and packaging inspections to ensure safe delivery throughout international transportation.
Résultat
The new packaging solution reduced significantly breakage in transport, and increased the reliability of deliveries. The Italian mineral water brand successfully expanded its distribution network while reducing the number of claims for replacement and also lowering logistics costs.
